A cylinder has a volume of 1,884cm^3. Find the volume of a cone with the same radius and height as the cylinder. Please explain how you got ur answer so that I can know how to do it as well. Thank you!

  • 628 cm³

A cone with the same radius and height as the cylinder has 3 times less volume as per formulas:


  • V_(cyl)=\pi r^2h

  • V_(cone)=\cfrac{1}{3}\ \pi r^2h

Hence the volume of the cone is:

  • 1884/3 cm³ = 628 cm³
