Explanation:

2x+2y=-1 (1) and 3x-7y=51 (2)

From (1) we can change to x=(-1-2y)/2 and replace into (2) we'll have:

3(-1-2y)/2-7y=51 <=> -3-6y-14y=102 <=> -20y=105 <=> y=-105/20=-5.25

With y=-5.25 you replace into (1) or (2) will find x=4.75
