Multiply 1 by 2 and 2 by 9

4x - 18y = 18 ----- 3

45x + 18y = 243 ----- 4

Add 3 & 4 , we get ;

49x = 261

x = 261/49

Put the value of x in 1

2x - 9y = 9

522/49 - 9y = 9

9y = 522/49 - 9

y = 48/49 - 1

y = -1/49
