A toolbox has the dimensions of 8 in by 6 in by 7 in. If Jenny plans to double all three dimensions to build a larger toolbox, she believes she would double the volume of the toolbox. Is she correct

Firstly, the initial volume = 6*7*8 = 336 in

Now double the dimensions:

6*2 = 12

7*2 = 14

And the difference between these two volumes is:

2688/336 = 8

Alternatively, we could say that the the scale factor for volume is the scale factor for length cubed, as length is 1D and volume is 3D.
