Rene has 2/3 of a gallon of milk.

He used a third of this milk for breakfast.

So, the amount of milk used for breakfast can be found by calculating:

(1/3) * (2/3) = 2/9

Therefore, Rene used 2/9 of a gallon of milk for breakfast.

Answer:

(2)/(9)

Explanation:

So we know that he used a third of the milk, and that he only has 2/3 of a gallon left.

I like to state the information I have already so I dont need to look back at the question repeatedly.

Just multiply:

(2)/(3) *(1)/(3)

You get:

(2)/(9)

That is how much milk he used when he had breakfast. To find a fraction of anything, just multiply it with your value to get your answer.

I hope I helped!
