Explanation:

line JL is the diameter (as is NK). angle LQK = 60°. that means that since JL and NK are straight lines, angle JQN must also = 60°.

angles on a straight line must add up to 180°. so angle JQK = 180 - 60 = 120°. we know angle LQK = 60°. what about angle LQM? again, angles on straight line add up to 180°. so LQM = 180 - 60 - 55 = 65°.

a full circle is 360°.

we now have something to work with.

move counter-clockwise around the circle from M to J. we have (65 + 60 + 120)° = 245°.

in other words, we need to find the arc of 245/360 of this circle.

circumference of full circle is π X diameter = πd

so arc MKJ = (245/360) πd
