Determine the molarity for each of these solutions. Then lost the solutions in order of increasing molarity.

A. ) 25g C6H12O6 per 0. 25L

B. ) 50g C6H12O6 per 0. 25L

C. ) 50g C12H22O11 per 0. 25L

Answer:

a) n = m/MM

n = 25g/180.16 g/mol = 0.139 mol

C = nv

C = (0.139 mol)(0.25 L)

C = 0.034 M

b) Same process, replace mass with 50 g.

C = 0.069 M

c) n = 50g/342.3 g/mol = 0.146 mol

C = nv

C = 0.146 mol x 0.25

C = 0.037

Order of increasing molarity:

A, C, B
