Answer:

Let x = 6-2y/6

substitute into equation 2

6(6-2y/6)-2y = 6

6-4y = 6

-4y= -12

y = 3

From equation 2

6x-2y =6

substitute y=3

6x-2(3)= 6

6x = 12

x= 2

substitute both into the given equation

x+2y

2+2(3)= 8

Therefore x+ 2y= 8
