I would say -6 because (-9 - -7 = -2, so 8 x -2 = -16, so subtract 16 from 10 to get -6)

Answer:

  • - 6

---------------------

Use the slope equation:

  • m = (y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁), where m- slope

Substitute given values for the slope and coordinates and and solve for h:

  • 8 = (h - 10) / (- 9 - (- 7))
  • 8 = (h - 10) / (- 2)
  • -16 = h - 10
  • h = -16 + 10
  • h = - 6

The value of h is - 6.
