Answer:

x=-1+√(2),-1-√(2)

Explanation:

x+1=(2)/(x+1)

Multiply both sides by the denominator (x+1).

(x+1)(x+1)=2

(x+1)^(2)=2

\sqrt{(x+1)^(2) } =√(2)

x+1=√(2)

x=-1+√(2)\\x=-1-√(2)

I also put my answer through a math solving site and it says it is correct, so I'm not sure why the same answer isn't in your options. Hope this helps, anyway lol!
