D. y=2x-8
all you need to do is plug the x and y values given in the table into the x and y of the equations
for example, if we used equation A. y=x+7 we would plug in our first set of x and y values: -6=1+7 but once you solve it you find it’s not true: -6≠8 so you know it isnt equation A
if we use equation D. y=2x-8 , plug in our values: -6=2(1)-8 it is true since 2-8=-6, giving us -6=-6
