A bicycle racer and her bike have a combined weight of 128 lb. She

pedals the bike 0.35 mile in 1.0 minute at a constant speed. What is her

kinetic energy?

KE= 1/2 mv^2
Kinetic energy= 0.5* mass*velocity squared

KE= 0.5*128*velocity squared

Lets find velocity:
Speed=distance/time
Speed= 0.35/1
Speed = 0.35 miles per minute

KE=0.5*128*0.35
KE= 22.4 J
