Mirrors in the microscope's interior are used to focus light to make the microscope more compact, or to make it easier to make the microscope binocular. On low-cost compound microscopes, the mirror is used to focus light from underneath the slide through the microscope's objective lens.

Purpose of microscope mirror:

1. A mirror is used to reflect light from an external light source from the bottom to the top of the stage. A mirror is placed in a microscope to reflect light onto the object to be observed.

2. The stationary portion below the stage in a microscope is utilized to reflect light onto the object to be studied.

3. Two planes for artificial light reflection, a plane mirror for sunlight reflection, and a concave mirror set in a metal ring make up this arrangement.
