In the first week, the employee worked a total of 40 hours and did not work overtime, so the wages for the first week are:

40 hours x $5.50/hour = $220

In the second week, the employee worked a total of 45 hours, which means he worked 5 hours of overtime. Overtime is $8.25 per hour for him, so overtime for 5 hours would be:

5 hours x $8.25/hour = $41.25

Her regular 40 hour work for the second week will be paid the same as the first week.

40 hours x $5.50/hour = $220

So the total reward for the two weeks would be:

$220 (1st week) + $220 (2nd week regular wage) + $41.25 (2nd week overtime) = $481.25

So, in that two weeks, the employee owes her $481.25.
