2. To plot t-5<4 on the number line, we first isolate t by adding 5 to both sides:

t - 5 < 4

t - 5 + 5 < 4 + 5

t < 9

This means that any value of t less than 9 will satisfy the inequality. To plot this on the number line, we draw an open circle at 9 (since t cannot be equal to 9) and shade to the left of it, indicating all values of t less than 9:

<---[==============o------------------->

6 7 8 9 10 11

4. <---[-------------------●------------------->

n ≤ 21

18 19 20 21 22 23 24

the answer for 2 is <9 because once you add 5 to both sides (+5 to the 5 and +5 to the 4) it's 9
