f ^ -1 (x) = -5x + 10

Explanation:

Let's call f(x) = y.

so, y = -(1/5) x + 2

multiply all by -5

-5y = x - 10

get x on its own by adding 10 to both sides

x = -5y + 10

then convert back to f ^-1 (x) for inverse function and call y, x. (that's because graph of inverse function is reflected in the line y=x. a reflection of the original function, f (x)).

f ^ -1 (x) = - 5x + 10
