Answer:

see below

Explanation:

We are given 2 equations:

2a+10b-8-2(4a-6)\\-6a+10b+c

We are told to find c to make them equivalent, so we can make them equal to each other:

2a+10b-8-2(4a-6)=-6a+10b+c

To find c, we have to isolate it, here are the steps:

2a+10b-8-2(4a-6)=-6a+10b+c

subtract 10b from both sides

2a-8-2(4a-6)=-6a+c

rearrange left side

2a-2(4a-6)-8=-6a+c

distribute the positive 2 to the terms in parenthesis

2a-(8a-12)-8=-6a+c

distribute -1 to the terms in parenthesis

2a-8a+12-8=-6a+c

simplify

-6a+4=-6a+c

add -6a to both sides

4=c

Hope this helps! :)
