The sum of three consecutive numbers is 21. What is the smallest of these numbers

Answer:

Let the first consecutive number be x and the second be 2x and third be 3x.

x+2x+3x=21

6x=21

x=3.5

to find all of the numbers we say,

2*3.5=7

3*3.5=10.5

the smallest number is 3.5
