Find the slope of a line perpendicular to the line whose equation is x-3y=27?

First rearrange the equation for y :
y=x/3 -9
When a line is perpendicular to another line their gradients multiply to -1 . Thus , -1 divided by 1/3 = -3 . -3x is the slope of the line ( answer)
