A student runs 100 yards in 12 seconds at the same speed how many feet will he run in 8 seconds?

Explanation:

since 1 yard =3feet

then 100yards= 300feet

which means 100yards=300feet=12seconds

let B be the number of feet in 8seconds

if 300feet=12seconds

then B feet= 8 seconds

if we cross multiply

300×8=12×B

2400=12B

B=2400/12

B= 200feet

OR

put it in ratio

feet/it's sec= feet/it's sec

300/12=B/8

then cross multiply to get your answer.
