Why is the frogs stomach folded?

The frog's stomach is folded because it allows the frog to store large amounts of food. Frogs are carnivorous and often eat prey that is larger than their head. The folds in the stomach allow it to expand and accommodate large items, such as insects or small rodents. When the frog swallows its prey, the stomach expands and the folds unfold, allowing the food to be broken down and digested. Once the food has been digested, the stomach contracts and the folds re-form, ready for the next meal.

Answer:

Since the body of the frog is small, byfolding the stomach can increase the surface area of the stomach in order to help the frog digest. This is because the intestine helps break down food but because a part is missing it won't provide complete breakdown of food.It is called the pyloric stomach.
