smaller leg is the smaller side

longer leg is the longer side

hypotenuse is the longest side

triangle a example:
smaller leg: 8-5 = 3

longer leg: 2-(-8) = 10

hypotenuse: use the formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2 (not needed since the side lengths are already given)
