Switch x and y.


\sf x = 4y + 5

Solve for y.


\sf 4y = x - 5


\sf y = (1)/(4) \ x-(5)/(4)


\Rightarrow\boxed{\sf y = (1)/(4) \ x-(5)/(4)}

Y=(x-5)/4

Inverses are just replacing x and y and solving for y ->

X=4y+5
X-5=4y
(X-5)/4=y
