$\sf Let \ d_1 \ and \ d_2 \ be \ the \ lengths \ of \ the \ sides \ of \ diagonals.$

$\sf Given \ that \ d_1=8 \ cm$

$\sf And \ d_2=10 \ cm$

$\therefore\sf Area \ of \ rhombus=(1)/(2) (d_1)(d_2)=(1)/(2)(8)(10)=40 \ cm^2$

$\rightarrow\boxed{\sf Area \ of \ rhombus=40 \ cm^2}$
