The radius of the circle is 5/√2 = (5√2)/2 inches.

Area of circle = π((5√2)/2)^2

= 25π/2 square inches

Area of triangle = (1/2)(5√2)((5√2)/2)

= 25/2 square inches

Area of shaded region

= (25/2)(π - 1) = 26.77 square inches
