Marcy, a 7th grader, decided to be a rebel one day and climb a 20-foot ladder up to the roof of the school in-between classes. When she decided to do this, Mr. Hill’s sixth sense was activated, and he decided to go check the roof area. Marcy climbed at a steady rate and was 14 feet up the ladder after 28 seconds of climbing when Mr. Hill burst into the room, saw her, and yelled for her to stop. Surprised, Marcy slipped and fell down the ladder at a steady rate for 2 seconds before she caught herself 6 feet up the ladder. A few minutes later, she was safe in ISS. Choose an equation for the relationship between Marcy’s distance climbing up the ladder and time.
