Answer:

A. 304.8 cm²

Explanation:

The rectangular prism has a total of 6 rectangular sides

~ two at the bottom and top both of equal dimensions 5.2 x 7.5

~ two at the front and back both of equal dimensions 12 x 7.5

~ two one on the left side and the other on the right side both of equal dimensions 12 x 5.2

The question is asking only for the lateral surface area. This means we ignore the top and bottom surfaces

For each of the other two pairs of rectangles, the surface area is nothing but the product of the dimensions for each rectangle

Therefore area of all the 4 rectangles is
2(5.2 x 7.5 + 12 x 5.2)

We multiply by 2 since there are 2 of each rectangular surface

2(5.2 x 7.5 + 12 x 5.2) = 304.8 cm² ANSWER

Answer:

A- 304.8 cm²

Explanation:

Find the area for the 4 sides (excluding both the top and base).

(2(12×7.5))+(2(12×5.2)) = 302.8
