Answer:

  • The radius is 26 units

As per given, the distance from the center to both of the chords is same, therefore both chords have same length:

  • JK = ML
  • 4x = 6x - 24
  • 6x - 4x = 24
  • 2x = 24
  • x = 12

The length of each chord is:

  • 4*12 = 48 units

Use Pythagorean theorem to find the radius, the distance from the center to one end of the chord:


  • QM=√(QP^2+MP^2)

  • QM=√(10^2+(48/2)^2)=√(100+576)=√(676) =26\ units
