We have to send satellites into space to study X-ray radiation because Earth's atmosphere absorbs most X-rays before they can reach the surface. X-rays have high energy and short wavelengths, which make them difficult to study from the ground. By placing X-ray telescopes on satellites, we can observe X-rays that would otherwise be absorbed by the atmosphere. Additionally, space-based X-ray telescopes can provide a clearer and more detailed view of X-ray sources, such as black holes, neutron stars, and supernova remnants, than telescopes on the ground
