WHY DID COMMUNISM HAVE SUCH A STRONG EFFECT ON AMERICA AFTER WWI?

Because after world war one when Russia dropped out of the war first because they became under a Dictatorship who turned the country’s political system to communism. So after the war the united states went through the “Red Scare” which meant everyone was scared about the united states turning communist.

It is because of the USSR and them taking over lots of country's and for example the Vietnam war and the Korean war. In both wars the communist's parties were supplied by the USSR. Another thing is that both country's kept on feeling threatened by each other.
