Answer:

w(w + 4) = 117

w^2 + 4w = 117

w^2 + 4w - 117 = 0

(w - 9)(w + 13) = 0

w = 9 meters

The width of the rectangle is 9 meters, and the length of the rectangle is 13 meters.
