the first thing you have to do is to find y

5×y=20

5y=20

y=4

put y which is 4 into the (7×y-3)

also apply the rules of BODMAS

7×4-3

28-3= 25

hence the answer is 25

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: if 5 x y =20........We can see that this means 5 multiplied by some number gives us 20 that number is 4

OR

5 x y=20

To solve for y we divide both side by 5

5y/5=20

y=4

We know that y =4

We can substitute into (7 x y-3)

Therefore (7 x 4 -3)

Multiplication is completed first

7 x 4=28

we then say 28-4=24

We work from left to right
