The three phases of the revolution are typically enlightenment, economic inequality, and racial or religious inequality. Most revolutions follow this pattern because enlightenment teaches one to think for themselves and stand up for inequalities. Economic inequality is a big factor to revolutions, the American Revolution was heavily influenced by the disparity between the American and British economy. Lastly, religion is a big source of uprising because beliefs are very emotional and with the need to be protected. As for race, enlightenment helps minorities to understand that they have liberty and equality in rights no matter their skin color.
