a) 2x² + 16x + 6 in the form a (x + b)² + c can be written as:

2(x² + 8x + 2) + 2

Completing the square of x² + 8x + 2, we have:

2(x + 4)² - 14

Therefore, a = 2, b = -4, and c = -14.

b) The turning point of the curve y = 2x² + 16x + 6 is (-b/a, c), so the coordinates of the turning point are:

(-(-4)/2, -14) = (2, -14)
