It suggest to me that when going through adversity, darkness, cold loveless hard times, that there remains a glimmer of hope and awareness of better times rebirth warmth joy and growth ahead once the cold difficult “despair" has passed. Perhaps recalling a cycle reflective of human emotional ups and downs.
