Explanation:

32 2/9 + 23 4/9 = 55 6/9.

You add the whole numbers first (not the fractions) which ends up being 55
Then you add the fractions. The number on the bottom (9) stays the same and you add the ones on the top , so 2+4 = 6 so it’s 6 over 9
