It actually making some sort of sense like you don’t want to say I ate a orange and then come with a word and say it’s so porange. That doesn’t make sense since that’s not even a word. You also want it to kind of sound like music in a way. If you want to write a haiku it doesn’t have to rhyme but you still want the type of melody feel you get from a regular poem. You also want to include figurative language in to poems because it keeps the melody of the poem and express’s the poem a bit more.
