36.85 ft

Explanation:

3 feet on either end + 6 feet on either side + circumference of the circle

3 + 3 + 6 + 6 + circumference of the circle

18 + circumference of the circle

You can find the circle's diameter by subtracting 6 from 12. You get 6. You can find the radius by dividing the diameter by 2. You get 3.

The formula for circumference is 2·π·Radius

2 · π · 3 = 6 · π = 6 · 3.14 ≈ 36.85
