What are the causes of being unemployed?​

Unemployment occurs when there is less paying human work available than there are viable hours of potential human work. When this happens with machines or when companies continue to employ more people than they actually need we call it excess capacity.

There are a number of reasons for unemployment. These include recessions, depressions, technological improvements, job outsourcing, and voluntarily leaving one job to find another.
