Explanation:

There is 2 triangular bases, and the area of a triangle is 1/2 of the base times the height Ex. 1/2 (bxh)

your length is 5 a your width is 4.3 So

5 x 4.3 = 21.5 divided by 1/2 = 10.75 x 2 because their is 2 triangular bases which brings you back to 21.5 m.

now for the slants.

The area of a rectangle is l x w

The length is 12 and your width is 5

12 x 5 = 60 60 x 3 because there is 3 rectangular sides

= 180 m.

add both sums add your surface area is

201.5 m2 squared
