What transportation methods were available in the early 1800s? Name at least three.

How would you travel from New York City to the Great Lakes?

Which method of transportation would be the best to use for moving large amounts of cargo from New York City to the Great Lakes? Which would be most difficult? Why?

Answer=

1) Horseback (riding a horse) carts, wagons, or on the rivers.

2)You could use a boat, in specifically the Erie Canal. Or use a horse & go down certain places.

3)The easiest would be a boat, as its big enough & has alot of space. Hardest would be a crate, as theirs no space & would take a long time!!

Hope this helped
