Every day at a factory, each of 32 employees assembles 8 skateboards. The company needs to know how many skateboards they would assemble over a period of 31 days. Which is the most reasonable estimate?

Please help it's due at 12am!!

Options :

A. 90 skateboards
B. 900 skateboards
C. 9,000 skateboards
D. 10,000 skateboards

Okay well first you’re going to want to multiply the amount of employees by the amount of skateboards they each make:

32 • 8 = 256

Then, you’re going to take the result and multiply it by the amount of days (31):

256 • 31 = 7,936

The closest number to 7,936 (from the given answers) would be 9,000.

Your answer would then be C.

C. 9,000 Skateboards would be the most reasonable estimate.

The original problem is solved by multiplying 32*8*31, which gets you to 7,936.

I rounded these numbers up and down to get a simpler equation of 30*10*30 which is exactly 9,000.
