the shaded area is calculated as

area of outer Δ - area if inner Δ

area of outer =
(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the height )

=
(1)/(2) × 35.4 × 32.3

= 17.7 × 32.3

= 571.71 m²

area of inner =
(1)/(2) × 20.9 × 19.1

= 10.45 × 19.1

= 199.595 m²

then

shaded area = 571.71 - 199.595 = 372.115 m²
