Explanation:

2x-3y=-1 (1)

y+1= x (2)

from (2):

x= y+1 (3)

sub (3) into (1):

2(y+1)-3y= -1

2y+2-3y= -1

-y= -3

y= 3 (4)

sub (4) into (3):

x= 3+1

= 4
