For all answers: x = -17, y = -19, (-17,-19)

Explanation:

Substitution:

We plug x = y+2 into the second equation


-2(y+2)+y=15\\-2y-4+y=15\\-y-4=15\\y=-19

Plugging back into x = y+2 we get that x = -17

Elimination:

We move y to the other side in Equation 1 and then subtract y.


x-y=2\\-2x+y=15\\-x=17\\x=-17\\y=-19

Plugging X into x-y = 2 we get that y = -19
