A main example of the story is how Frankenstein’s creature feels betrayed and abandoned as he has to go through learning on his own in the wild without his creator there to support and care for him. The creature goes through this grieving time confused and frustrated, and this drives the story forward in his actions of begging for a companion and threatening Victor Frankenstein when he refuses to help him feel fulfilled.
