I had to read a novel and now I have to write a paragraph comparing the antagonist's and the protagonist's perspective of the main conflict. The main conflict is that the protagonist (Melody) has a cerebral palsy so she cannot move or talk and is stuck in her head. The antagonist Claire is making fun of/harassing the students of their class (special ed) because they got into a program with inclusion classes. ll I have to start the sentence of the paragraph including the authors name and the title yet I have no idea how to start it ll any help would be appreciated

Answer:

One way to start your paragraph could be: “In the novel Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper, the main conflict arises from the differing perspectives of the protagonist Melody, who has cerebral palsy and is unable to move or speak, and the antagonist Claire, who harasses the students in their special education class for being included in a program with inclusion classes.” From there, you can go on to compare and contrast their perspectives in more detail.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here are some more examples of how you could start your paragraph:

  • “In Sharon M. Draper’s Out of My Mind, the main conflict is rooted in the opposing viewpoints of Melody, a girl with cerebral palsy who is unable to move or speak, and Claire, who bullies the students in their special education class for being included in a program with inclusion classes.”
  • “The novel Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper presents a conflict between the protagonist Melody, who has cerebral palsy and is unable to move or speak, and the antagonist Claire, who ridicules the students in their special education class for being included in a program with inclusion classes.”
  • “Sharon M. Draper’s Out of My Mind explores the main conflict between Melody, a girl with cerebral palsy who is trapped in her own mind, and Claire, who mocks the students in their special education class for being included in a program with inclusion classes.”

I hope these examples give you some ideas for how to start your paragraph!
