As per picture, we can state the quadrilateral DEFG is a parallelogram.

We know that parallelograms have a property that their adjacent angles are supplementary.

Hence we can set up equation:

  • m∠G + m∠F = 180°

Substitute the values to get:

  • 7x - 28 + 10x - 13 = 180

Simplify and solve it for x:

  • 17x - 41 = 180
  • 17x = 221
  • x = 221/17
  • x = 13
