Answer:

The three main divisions of the brain are the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The forebrain consists of the telencephalon and diencephalon, and is responsible for higher-order functions such as memory, language, and decision-making. The midbrain consists of the mesencephalon, and is responsible for motor control, auditory processing, and visual processing. The hindbrain consists of the metencephalon and myelencephalon, and is responsible for controlling the autonomic nervous system, balance and coordination, and reflexes.

The telencephalon is composed of the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, amygdala, and basal ganglia. The diencephalon is composed of the thalamus, hypothalamus, and epithalamus. The mesencephalon is composed of the tectum and tegmentum. The metencephalon is composed of the cerebellum and pons. The myelencephalon is composed of the medulla oblongata.
