How was slavery different from indentured servitude in North American colonies?

Slavery was mainly people from Africa, children and adults alike, being brought North America to work for years and years until they were set free.

Indentured servants were mainly also from Europe and going with the employers. They were held to an agreement that they would work for a set amount of years and then given their own land to live on after they finished serving their time.
